Cell Block 9
The ever changing R&B band - 12 years and 25 members later, still putting out great music and entertaining people of all ages.  This band has a collective weight of 55 Stones and a cumulative age of 193.
Here are some of the comments we have collected along the way:
This from someone who saw us one night in Rochester - March 2012
Hope today finds you happy and well - apologies for sending this email without a name, I couldn't be sure which former member of Cellblock9's email this was!
My fiancee and I once had the good fortune to witness your uproariously good rock and roll some time ago at the Good Intent pub in Rochester before we became engaged, indeed - we are very friendly with Dal and Karen, but just as we set out on a hunt to track down the amazing band we had seen that night to see if they fancied playing our rollicking wedding, Dal managed to pinpoint who were talking about and told us the sad news that you had in fact disbanded.
Whilst I realise this is the case, I wondered if ever any of you played together still, or might consider doing so? Or if not, if you could point us in the direction of a band who might be a little patch on yourselves in the Kent area, as we're really struggling to find a band suitably rock and roll for the wedding rumpus...
Any suggestions would be really gratefully received. The venue is pretty spectacular - a 13th Century tithe barn in Lenham - which we're dressing up in high Beggars Banquet meets medieval style...and there would most certainly be some spit-roasted Venison and scrumped apple tarts in it too, for anyone who might be up for it. Thanks so much, Sophie

The Steampacket, Strood September 2011:

Yes you did read it correctly! it is with great regret that we will no longer be able to listen to our favourite band cell block 9, as they are disbanding to pursue other musical interests! So please do not miss the final ever gig from this talented band it will be a night to remember!!!

Cell Block 9 has been playing around the South East for 12 years now in various guises with all kinds of different line ups - we intend to keep the website going at least for now and wish to thank all the people who have supported us  over the last 12 years especially: Linda Reynolds [who has been to every one of Tobes gigs for a period of 17 years] - Carol, Lyn, Steve Fisher, John and Barbara Reynolds and all the managers and publicans, club owners and promoters along the way.  There will be a foto and video gallery in time and a complete blog.  Slick and Tobe are going to be busy creating an album of their original music and will possibly be gigging it after about a year.  At present the project is called 'The Mumbo Machine' we will post a link as soon as there is something to link to.
THANKS AGAIN EVERYBODY: FROM THE PRESENT CBL9, AND ESPECIALLY FROM TOBE.
